MALAYSIA: THE Malaysian economy went through a roller coaster ride in 2018 as adverse impact of challenges was increasingly felt, but thanks to domestic dynamism, growth continued, albeit at a moderate pace.

The country’s economic growth which was earlier forecast to expand between 5.5 and 6.0% will likely record growth below 5.0% in 2018 as mainly external challenges sought to restrain its ascend.
