JOHOR BAHRU: The involvement of all parties will be instrumental for the success of Gagasan Johor Berkemajuan or Progressive Johor Concept in the state.
Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said it was a challenge to mobilise all interested parties to jointly accept and contribute to the success of the mission.
“All the people of Johor must wholeheartedly accept this ambition and contribute their strength and thoughts to the mission as it is not just the government alone. “This major mission will not be achieved if we are still thinking and working in the old ways and this is a huge challenge for all,” he said when speaking at the Convention on Progressive Johor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, here, today.
Also present were Johor State Secretary Datuk Azmi Rohani, State Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Md Jais Sarday and UTM vice-chancellor Datuk Dr If Wahid Omar.
Mohamed Khaled also said in 10 years’ time, Johor would see aggressive economic growth and transformative improvements in the wellbeing of the people towards the realisation of the mega vision Gagasan Johor Berkemajuan.
The 10 aspirations of Gagasan Johor Berkemajuan encompass Johor as a southern economic power, Johor housing, Johor entrepreneurship, Johor’s sustainability, Johor islami, Johor skills, Johor care , Johor culture, Johor connectivity and Johor security.
